Shotgun Tori 07.04.2012

I can tell when someone pours their soul into their craft. Like they've painted something with their own life essence. You can see it in their art or hear it in their music. I like these people. They are rare. 
Kerouac said it best "The only people for me are the mad ones, the ones who are mad to live, mad to talk, mad to be saved, desirous of everything at the same time, the ones who never yawn or say a commonplace thing, but burn, burn, burn..." 

So we'd been planning a shoot together since early 2011, but we kept missing each other. Either Tori was in and I was out or I was in and Tori was out.  Anyway we got it together to meet in Kalk Bay where she was gigging at The Brass Bell a few Sundays back. It belted down with rain as I pulled into the main street. We met at the train station and decided to go for it anyway, we'd drive through the rain and see if we could find the other side of it and be back in an hour. We reckoned Sun Valley would be a good direction because...well.....yeah. We drove down some little street in the 'burbs in the driving rain and found a big, perfect piece of  Nature and the rain stopped.
We had about a 15 min gap to shoot and then the rain, she came back. 
We thought we'd wait it out... so we waited against some bushes with our backs to the rain in the middle of Sun Valley, waiting for the sun and we waited and waited and got drenched, in a good way though.
